Hematopathology Consultation
Hematopathology is the branch of pathology which studies diseases of the
blood and related tissues.
At CSI Laboratories, our hematopathologists look at peripheral blood smears, bone
marrow aspirates, biopsies, lymph nodes, and other tissues, and use their
expertise to diagnose diseases such as lymphomas and leukemias.
Our hematopathologists use traditional microscopy to look at the sample, but
also utilize other laboratory tools such as immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry
and molecular diagnostic tests to make the most accurate diagnosis.
Our hematopathology department provides diagnostic services and specialized test
to patients with all types of leukemia, lymphoma and benign hematological disorders.
We work closely with the hematologist & oncologist who see the patient and decide
on the best treatment.
