Flow Cytometry
Flow Cytometry has become the most important tool in the
identification and classification of leukemias and lymphomas.
Major world authorities, such as WHO (World Health Organization)
and REAL (Revised European American Lymphoma Society), recommend
that Flow Cytometry be used in addition to morphology for
identification and classification of leukemias and lymphomas.
Flow Cytometry is also used in the detection of minimal residual
disease since it can identify as little as one percent malignant
cells within an analyzed sample.
